FORE!!!!!!!

This year, Mother's Day weekend was a bit scary. On Saturday, our ten year old son was hit in the face (accidentally) with a golf club. He and his friend were hitting golf balls in the friend's backyard and our little guy was too close. Neither were watching. We spent six hours in our local emergency room and another two hours with a dental resident in a nearby town. No broken bones but the dental resident had to move his four bottom teeth back into place and bond them together.

His face is healing well now. It's been a few days and all that is left is the bonding and a bit of bruising. It's a funny yellowish-green color.

So, I spent Mother's Day making soft foods and taking care of my youngest. Can't think of a better way to spend the day.

The truth is, we were lucky. Just thinking about what might have happened scares me silly! Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers who are reading this blog!!!!

Hi Liz, I know what it is like to be a working Mom and to have accidents like this happen to a child. I am hoping everything is OK. It is very scary.
